The Facebook page of Big Bend Gazette is being updated numerous times throughout the day. They have breaking news posted just a few minutes ago of John Waters' interview with Judge Cano who is on the record saying Brewster County is now discouraging visitors form coming.
La Kiva is closed, working on a plan for take out only. La posada and Long Draw are doing take out only. High Sierra is serving outside on the patio. Chisos basin restaurant is encouraging take out, serving on the patio, and spreading tables apart. Bad Rabbit Cafe and Big Bend Cafe are doin takeout. Chili Pepper is encouraging takeout but will off wide spaced seating on their patio. The Starlight is open with widely spaced seating.
Tourists that continue to visit: PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO TIP ON YOUR TAKEOUT ORDERS!! If you are financially stable enough to travel, you are financially stable enough to have some compassion for the MANY people here about to lose their jobs.
