If speaking kindly to plants helps them grow, imagine what speaking kindly to humans can do.

Our good friend and fabulous musician, Uh Clem, is in the hospital in Odessa. He has been diagnosed with a large, cancerous tumor in his throat that will require intense radiation and chemo. His daughter and son are with him now. We are in the process of setting up a Go Fund Me and a bank account so if you feel inclined to help defer costs, there will be options. We’ll keep you posted. In the meantime, keep Clem in your thoughts, play some music, and tell great stories. Much love from Terlingua!

Starting tomorrow there will be an account at the WTNB Quicksilver branch in Terlingua with Clem's name on it if folks want to donate to help support his daughter stay with him up in Odessa through this ordeal.  Donations can be made anonymously, or by name, and it will be given directly to Clem and his daughter Susan.

Sturgeon Moon - The Full Moon in August is named after North America's largest fish, the lake sturgeon.
Endangered Giant
The Full Moon in August is called Sturgeon Moon because of the great number of this huge freshwater fish that could once be found in lakes and rivers in North America. Other names for this Full Moon include Grain Moon, Green Corn Moon, Fruit Moon, and Barley Moon, all inspired by various crops that can be harvested in August.

All Energies tip of the week: Batteries have a minimum charge rate, so adding more batteries can actually make your solar system performance WORSE. To find your ideal charging rate, add up the total Amp-hour rating of your battery bank. Your charge rate (the number of Amps coming from the solar array) should be between 10% and 20% of that number. For example, a battery bank rated for 600 Amp-hours at 12 Volts should be charged at 60 to 120 Amps of input. Failure to meet the minimum charge rate will severely reduce the lifespan of your batteries!  If you need help making your solar system work better, email casey@allenergies.net or call/text 432-242-1874
