Jeff Haislip's memorial service will take place Saturday, February 18th at 1 p.m. at Santa Inez - Terlingua Ghosttown Church. Potluck and music to follow at the Boathouse starting around 2:30/3 p.m. Please bring a potluck dish, stories, instruments and all your love to send off our dear friend.

WE HAVE TWO WEEKLY AA MEETINGS NOW! EVERY TUESDAY & THURSDAY!
The Terlingua Bottoms Group of AA meets every Thursday at 7:30 at the Big Bend Church in Study Butte.  The meetings are open to anyone who has or thinks they may have a drinking problem. The Terlingua Double A Bar Group will hold an AA meetings on Tuesdays from 5:00 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Crisis Center in the Ghosttown.

In other news, we are sad to report that our dear friend Caleb Wilbourn will be leaving us to pursue big things in central Texas, so make sure you come by to say "see ya later" to him this month. We wish Caleb the absolute best and can't wait to see what he comes up with next! Meets School of Constructive Arts! StoryCorps is coming to the Cactus Farm on February 25! StoryCorps is a national radio program that collects recordings across the country on any topic that is meaningful to its recorders and listeners. The School of Constructive Arts was invited to participate as a non-profit community partner and hopes to share stories highlighting South Brewster Country, and especially remembering Don and the early years of the SCA. PARADE ON THURSDAY, MARCH 2
Come celebrate the 187th anniversary of Texas Independence from Mexico with the annual impromptu parade between the Porch and the High Sierra celebrating the sacrifices of those who won our freedom that has been so easily forgotten by native Texans and unknown by the naturalized and visitors. The parade is scheduled to begin around 5:30 P.M. (but is notoriously late) at the Porch.  The route will leave for the High Sierra, then turn around back to the Porch.  Gathering for the parade will be at any time necessary for the preparation of your "float" to make the 5:30 start.  Please try to attend with a float or just as a spectator.  More to follow…..

ALIENFEST - FEBRUARY 24 AND 25
It’s abduction time again at The Goat Pens!! The 5th annual Glenn Felts Memorial Alien Abduction Party (Alienfest) is just around the corner! February 24-25, save the dates!
Friday night is Terlingua Burlesque, followed by a dance party. Saturday night opens with The Stinky Wrinkles followed by The Red Elvises!

Beer and food will also be available. The Goat Pens encourages responsible partying so overnight camping is welcomed. This event honors the memory of our friend Glenn. Admission is free, and as always, donations are very much appreciated and how we keep this event free. Reminder - No outside beer or wine is allowed in the venue area. Please don’t jeopardize our TABC license and this event.
