Shannon Carter with the help of Cabin 10, Inc. is once again hosting the Funky Junk Show in Terlingua Ghostown and we want you to join us.

You might ask “what the funk”? Well, it’s the renewal of the EyEBall Renaissance, a creative time when Mark “EyEBall” Kneeskern roamed Terlingua turning Junk into Art… Funky Junk!

What to expect?

A community-based celebration… a weekend of visual art and music with all proceeds donated to the EyEBall Memorial Scholarship at Terlingua CSD.

The Starlight Theatre will kick the party off on Friday at 6p.m. featuring live music all night. The live music and performance art will continue at The Community Garden Saturday from noon through 5 p.m.. Then Saturday night, The Starlight Theatre will feature the Funky Junk Art Show & silent auction with additional live music from 6 p.m. – close. Costumes are encouraged for Saturday night, with the best costume receiving an EyEBall art piece. We’ll be back in the Garden on Sunday with music and activities from noon till 3p.m. when the Sunday Funday song circle will round out the good time.

Musicians scheduled to perform include: Blind Squirrel, Crystal Albright, The Whitmores, Laird Considine, The Jim Keaveny Band, Shannon Carter & Chris Seaton, Collie Ryan, Utter Haislip, Anna Whitely, Charles Maxwell & Ted Arbogast, and The Jacob Jaeger Band. All musicians are welcome to join in at the Jam Circle Sunday Funday @ 3p.m. Held at the Terlingua Community Garden.
