Earth and Fire Gallery
SAM•U•L (aka Sam Richardson) will be guest artist at Earth and Fire Gallery in the Ghost Town, Dec. 25 through Jan.1. The show will feature paintings, drawings, graphics and books by the artist. SAM•U•L is a recovering Big Bend river guide and newspaper editor, who is now living and working in Taos, New Mexico.
He lived in Terlingua for 17 years where he river guided, coordinated the Elderhostel Program, ran tours all over old Mexico, edited the Lajitas Sun, wrote columns for the Alpine Avalanche and Big Bend Sentinel and filed free-lance feature stories about the Big Bend with large market state dailies.

Brewster County will be offering mobile testing held at the North County Emergency Response Center located in Alpine on Monday December 21, 2020 from 9 am - 4 pm or until tests run out. Mobile testing continues in Presidio December 22 and Fort Davis the 23rd.

Family crisis center in the Ghostown
Monday, December 21 the family crisis center of the Big Bend in the ghost own will be distributing USDA food commodities for individuals and families.

CANCELLATION: The memorial service for Bill Valentine scheduled for January 2 is being cancelled due to health and safety concerns.

THE TERLINGUA BOTTOMS GROUP of AA meets every Thursday at 7:30 at the Big Bend Church in Study Butte. The meetings are open to anyone who has or thinks they may have a drinking problem. We meet in a group of less than five, wear masks, and practice Social Distancing.

Update from Preventative Health Care Services in Alpine:
PCHS will be receiving the first round of Moderna covid vaccines later this week, likely Dec 23rd or 24th. The CDC has issued specific guidelines about who can get this first round. We commit to distribute this vaccine as quickly as possible. In order to do this, we will be directly contacting organizations/agencies in the Big Bend area that meet the criteria. To help us in the process, please DO NOT call the clinic to ask about getting the vaccine at this time. We will keep the public updated regularly as we receive new information. Thank you for cooperation and patience with us!
STUDY BUTTE WATER SUPPLY - HOLIDAY CLOSURES
The office will be closed from December 23 thru 28 and will re-open on 29th.
