Appointments Necessary at VA Clinics
Seems there are veterans showing up to VA clinics to find out they are closed. To all veterans: do not go to any VA clinic unless you have an appointment for that clinic on that day. Most clinics are closed and everything is done online or on phone. There are some things being done in person but those are going to be by appointment only. Questions? Contact Dennis Yancy, SFC, US Army (ret), Veterans Service Officer, Brewster County, Texas. Email: vetaff@co.brewster.tx.us Office: 432-837-6219

COVID 19 2020 Art Installation in Fort Stockton
Local West Texas artist in the Installation. Why on earth would 21 artists do 32 exhibits about the virus? Maybe the better question is why not? The very nature of art is to help people get in touch with their feelings about things that cause them discomfort. Art can push people beyond their comfort zones and make them think. That is exactly what this conception installation does — confront and provoke the viewers’ thoughts!
The installation is free and we hope you venture out of your comfort zone and visit it. Sept. 5th (11 AM - 9 PM) at 209 W 1st Street in Fort Stockton. Meet the artists who created the art that provokes thoughts of a conception cautionary tale about the virus. The walk-thru will do exactly what it should do ... as a whole ... Make you stop, think, and discuss life since the virus. You may find some pieces controversial, so please be prepared to embrace self-reflection. Wear a mask. Please do not attend if you do not feel good.
