Terlingua MOON

June 13 2023

Vol.  34 No. 24

 by Million sMiles

”We have one life, one shot at all the glorious things of life, and we walk about constricted, apologetic, afraid. We have so little time; we have so little space upon which to spread our love and our talents and our kindness. Run toward life fulsomely and freely."            ~ Tennessee Williams

The first time we ever came to Terlingua, TX, we went to La Kiva. It was easily one of the best bars I’d ever been to. And, I’ve been to my share literally all over the world. It reminds me so much of New Orleans or Key West. Just so weird in all the right ways. I had no idea then of it’s so complicated history or how much it meant to people. It’s still pretty surreal sometimes to me that somehow we ended up on this adventure. But, we did the thing. We served food and La Kiva is officially open. I really can’t describe it, you’ve got to see this place to understand. Come visit. We love y’all. Viva Terlingua.         Andy

Fresh eggs, local art, handcrafted textiles, goat milk soap, all natural lip balms, hand balms and perfumes, leather goods, Sandy's creative pop up shop and more -- you never know just what you'll find. Stop in to see one of our new vendors and her handcrafted, creative jewelry, block printed textiles and vintage goods, both curated and upcycled.

We welcome new vendors. We ask a $10 donation to the Community Garden to set up, helping us to continue to improve this space and experience for all of us. For more information, text or call 432.213.1863, email SherriTheWriter@aol.com or pop in to the market for a chat.
