BIG BEND CHAMBER OF COMMERCE MEETING NOTICE    The next meeting of the Big Bend Chamber of Commerce is Thursday, January 13, 2022.  It will be held at Lajitas Golf Resort in the Executive Boardroom beginning at 6:00 pm.  All chamber members and interested parties are welcome to attend.   If you would like to attend via Zoom please contact Sandy at sprice@lajitasgolfresort.com.

PAISANO POST FROM TERLINGUA CSD
The community is invited to attend the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Multi-purpose/Gym on January 7th at 10am. This event will take place between the High School and Middle School buildings. We hope you can join us for this historic event.
The UIL Social Studies team of Chasin, Chase, Griffin, and Caitlin are working their way through a Book Study of Rome 1960: the Summer Olympics That Stirred the World by David Maraniss. The UIL Science team of Chasin, Griffin, Maria, Gabriel, Brooke, and Luna are making progress in their Book Study of The God Equation: the Quest for a Theory of Everything by Michio Kaku. The UIL Spelling team of Laila, Cynthia, Zach N., and Shyla are well into their list of 1,500 words. Here's some examples: arenicolous, belonephobia, and coelacanth.

SANTA INEZ-GHOSTOWN CHURCH
Rosary Prayer services will continue on the 1st Wednesdays of each month at 5pm. Handouts are available in English and Spanish. Holy Eucharist or Evening Prayer services are held on the 3rd Wednesdays at 5pm. Come check it out and enjoy the beautiful, peaceful space. The Episcopal Church welcomes all. Bishop Hunn will be offering a four week class intended for those preparing for Confirmation but also those who are interested in learning more about what it means to be an Episcopalian. All classes begin at 7:30 pm and finish around 9:00 pm and will be on Zoom: Wednesdays: January 5th, 19th, February 2nd, and 16th. meets every Thursday at 7:30 at the Big Bend Church in Study Butte. We wear masks during the meeting, and observe distancing.  The meetings are open to anyone who has or thinks they may have a drinking problem. MOVEMENT AND MEDITATION
@ The Crisis Center with Leralee Whittle. Thursdays at noon. Donations accepted. Enjoy moving in community with easy to follow movements for back and joint health and find levity within your own flow and dance explorations. We work through the senses and nervous system to calm, center and energize. The class is structured to attune ourselves to fun, basic coordination found in many dance traditions and meditative presence arising from body awareness. “Ease in Movement. Ease in Life.” Leralee is a dance artist, teacher and healer. She’s toured North America and Europe as a performer and dance and somatics teacher. We will be hosting another Skirt Night as well, so gentlemen, don't be afraid to dress to impress (although keep in mind no nudity is allowed). Females are also encouraged to doll it up as well.
