Terlingua MOON

August 3, 2021

Vol.  32       No. 31

 by Million sMiles

What is it about the Big Bend?

The park’s name comes from the 100 mile long big bend in the Rio Grande river that forms the Texas-Chihuahua-Coahuila border. At over 1,250 square miles, Big Bend is approximately the size of Rhode Island. It’s so remote that it remains the least visited of the National Parks in the United States.

Earth and Fire Gallery

Be sure to stop by the Gallery to see all the local artists' latest work.  The cooler temps really inspire us!

Espresso ... y poco mas

August heat means a need for iced drinks, and we've got a great selection of iced coffees, smoothies and more.

We serve breakfasts, lunches and packed picnics.

Our ingredients are the freshest and everything is made  to order whether it's your eggs in the morning  or your lunch salad or sandwich.  Check us out for freshly baked pastries and more.

We have a full menu from 7:30 am until 2 pm seven days week.  While you here, enjoy free wifi, local newspapers and super comfortable outdoor seating in the shade.  Located in the Ghost Town.

1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at the Big Bend Church is "Crafty Gals" from 6:30-8:30. So yes, this is happening tomorrow night. That's right ladies, this is your chance to get away and have some time with your female adult friends and get crafty. Bring whatever craft you are working on and join us for a fun evening of laughter, friendship and crafting.

The Terlingua Bottoms Group of AA meets every Thursday at 7:30 at the Big Bend Church in Study Butte. We wear masks during the meeting, and observe distancing.  The meetings are open to anyone who has or thinks they may have a drinking problem. If you are ill, we respectfully ask that you stay home and call for a "telephone meeting" instead, 432-371-2073. Leave a message and we'll get back to you.
