Got something to say?

Facebook will let you air it out, but if you want your opinion to be heard in a way that might prompt change, show up for the upcoming Brewster county Commissioner’s court. It will be held on Wednesday, August 11, at 9:30 a.m. You may attend by Zoom, watch on the Facebook Page for Brewster County, Texas, as well as the website. The agenda for this meeting is linked below, as well as instructions for leaving comments. Some folks might be interested in following the Brewster Tourism Council presentation. Also, we may or may not be cats.

Vaccine Info:

“I work as a public health nurse for DSHS Presidio County. Moderna and Pfizer vaccine are available at each DSHS clinic Monday Alpine, Tuesday Presidio, Wednesday Van Horn and Thursday Marfa. Hours 9:30 to 12 and then 1 to 4. At present we do not do COVID testing that is something we are hoping to be able to provide in the upcoming weeks. Please note Pfizer vaccine is available for 12 years and up, the minor needs parental consent. Moderna 18 above. If you have questions about the vaccine please call one of the clinics where myself or the other nurse can hopefully answer fully. Lastly, COVID vaccines are safe and masks are effective in reducing transmission. Please continue to encourage others to get vaccinated.”

MORE ART at Earth and Fire Gallery!
Earth and Fire Gallery in the Ghostown of Terlingua, Texas is a most magical space.  Nestled into a stacked rock structure located between the Starlight Theater and Y Poco Mas Coffee Shop, this unique space is home to artists who capture and share the essence of what both sides of the Big Bend are all about.  Featuring mixed media, pointilism, photography, metal work, pottery and more - by local artists - you will find exactly the piece you want to take home with you. Constantly changing, repeat visits are a must!
