Items left for Dead resurrected into Art, animate or inanimate… it’s a Show and more happening October 7- 9th in Terlingua Ghostown.
A community-based celebration… with all proceeds donated to the EyEBall Memorial Scholarship at Terlingua CSD.
Art can be dropped off at The Starlight Theatre, Thursday and Friday,/Oct. 6-7th after 5pm. Have the piece ready to hang, and please attach a note if the proceeds are to be donated and what % to donate.
Along with the visual art there will be music at the Community Garden Sat. and Sun. starting at noon, and music at The Starlight Theatre Fri. and Sat. evening starting at 6 pm. The Music schedule is posted at https://cabin10.org/show/ along with other Funky Junk related information. Photos below.
In The Garden on Saturday Noon-3 for the Kids, Shrunken Head apple carving, just in time for Halloween.
There’ll be a guitar raffle, Silent Auction and a costume contest Saturday Night. Rusted desert relics or Dusty sunbaked bones, what will your costume be made of? BEST Costume Wins a Terlingua wind chime made by EyEBall and $100 cash.
The Sunday Funday Song Circle will round out the goodtime at 3:00 in the Garden Pavilion. All musicians are welcome to join the Song Circle, so bring your instruments.

The Brewster County Democrat and Republican parties are hosting a Brewster County Candidate Forum, Monday, October 10, 5:30-7:00 PM, at the Red Pattillo Community Center. Candidates for County Judge, Precinct 2 Commissioner, and Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace will be participating. Questions for the candidates will come from the audience.
The Terlingua Bottoms Group of AA meets every Thursday at 7:30 at the Big Bend Church in Study Butte. The meetings are open to anyone who has or thinks they may have a drinking problem
The Terlingua Double A Bar Group will be holding AA meetings on Tuesdays from 5:00 pm to 6 pm each week at the Crisis Center in the Ghost Town.

We are currently looking for at least one more cool person to round out the register team this season. Come by and fill out an application and chat with Jolea! Please be prepared to have local references and a working phone number or another way for us to get ahold of you consistently. Currently looking for help on Monday and Tuesday every week. Schedule is flexible based on working it out with the current team. We are looking for some local salsa provider to go along with our new CHARCUTERIE SECTION! Come check it out! We got stocked back up on ice creams and some other fun snacks as well. Stop in to say "hi" to our newest additions to the team, Caleb (also a fantastic local musician). Anni, (another awesome musician and resident horse girl) , as well as Bambi! (We just met her but she's pretty great as well!) Hope to see you soon!
