2025 Terlingua Music Bash
It's just about six weeks (October 16-19) until the 2025 Terlingua Music Bash and part of the Bash is the silent auction benefitting the Mark (eYeBAll) Kneeskern Memorial Art Scholarship. Mark was a beloved member of the Terlingua community and he died in a tragic accident in 2014. His love for Terlingua, especially Terlingua's children and the arts, has been kept alive in many ways. One of those ways is this scholarship in his memory.
If you have an item or service that you would like to donate. Please email cabin10org@gmail.com if so and we'll reach out to you directly. We are hoping to be able to have some of the Silent Auction items available for online bidding so we'd love to have a jump on documenting the donations. The scholarship is managed by Cabin 10, a 501(c)(3) and you can find more information here: https://cabin10.org/terlingua-music-bash. We are also looking for someone to help coordinate the auction itself. You can email cabin10org@gmail.com or call Sha at 512.739.2212.
The recipient of the 2025 Scholarship was Caitlin Staib, a recent graduate of Big Bend High School in Terlingua. She is pursuing a Fine Arts Degree starting this fall.
Saturday Community Market
Open from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Located at the Community Garden in the Ghost Town, we're here every Saturday with happy vendors offering an array of locally produced goods and other items. If you'd like to be a vendor, our first Saturday of the month free set-up is a perfect time to tey out our market.
In addition to visiting the market, you'll also be able to enjoy our fabulous local mobile library and portable free ‘porch’, even consult with Dr. Gigabyte if you have a computer problem.
Local art, handcrafted textile goods, fresh eggs, sour dough bread, all natural lip balms and skin care products, all natural essential oil fragrances, beard oil and massage oils, handcrafted, creative jewelry, resin creations, block printed textiles and vintage goods, both curated and upcycled, practical and artistic items made of reclaimed steel and more. We welcome new vendors. Flea market items are also welcome. After all, reusing and up-cycling already existing items is smart and green. We ask a $10 donation to the Community Garden to set up, helping us to continue to improve this space and experience for all of us.
We'll be here all summer, in the shade. This year, we're celebrating the summer season by waiving the set-up donation on the last Saturday of each of our summer months. It's a great way for a creator or new vendor to try out our market. We typically have a table and chair or two to loan to new vendors.
For more information, text or call 432.213.1863 or pop in at the market for a chat. Prepared food vendors must display current food handling license. (A quick, easy and affordable online course can provide that).

Any dropped donations outside of the shop are free for the taking.

** Exciting News from the Dad Squad! **
Good morning, y’all! I’m thrilled to share some breaking news: Xaliyah (Za-Lee-Yah) may be coming home this week!
If not, we’re looking at the beginning of next week for sure. And Yaleayah( Ya-leaYah) is on track to join us by mid to late next week!
When that day arrives, I might need to close the restaurant for a couple of days to focus on bringing our girls home.
I promise to keep everyone updated as we prepare for this incredible moment!
We can’t wait for our beautiful daughters to join us and meet their Terlingua family.
It truly takes a village, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the amazing support we have from the best village ever.
Here’s to new adventures and all the love ahead.Stay tuned, everyone!
With sincere appreciation, gratitude, and love,
Rique and The Longhorn
