BBNP
Due to heavy rain (1.5-2.0 inches) and flash flooding Saturday night, the following closures are in effect across Big Bend National Park until further notice:
- the Boquillas Port of Entry
- the paved road between Castolon and Santa Elena Canyon
- Old Maverick Road
- Hot Spring Road
- Black Gap Road
- all of River Road

Most of the paved roads throughout the park have debris or standing water covering portions of the road. Please use caution before entering a low water crossing.

The Rio Grande is at flood stage and a second surge of water coming from upstream is expected to reach the park later today. Stay away from the river and do not attempt to enter the water.

For closure updates, please visit the Alerts section of our website: https://www.nps.gov/bibe/planyourvisit/conditions.htm

COMMUNITY GARDEN
Come see us at the Saturday Community Market from 10:00-1:00.  We're planning to run right on through the summer. Located at the Community Garden in the Ghost Town, we're there every Saturday with happy vendors offering an array of locally produced goods. Fresh eggs, local art, handcrafted textiles, goat milk soap, all natural lip balms, hand balms and perfumes, leather goods, Sandy's creative pop up shop and more. Indeed, you never know just what you'll find.

We welcome new vendors. We ask a $10 donation to the Community Garden to set up, helping us to continue to improve this space and experience for all of us. For more information, text or call 432.213.1863, email SherriTheWriter@aol.com or pop in to the market for a chat.

Do you have mad skills and smart, practical talents you'd like to share? We all love to learn about sustainable arts and useful skills here in Terlingua. Let's talk about a workshop.

Please help keep our market space safe and comfortable for all, two-legged and four, by keeping all dogs leashed and under control. We look forward to seeing you!
