June 8 celebrates National Best Friends Day, a day to honor that one special person you call your “best friend”.
Call them!  Tell them how much you appreciate them, how special and important they are to you and how you cherish their friendship.

Vaccines and Testing in South County! ‑‑ On Tuesday, June 8, 2021, from 8:30am - 5:00pm, the National Guard will be at the Panther Junction Visitor Center and Headquarters area of Big Bend National Park offering all three vaccines (while supplies last) to anyone interested.  They will be located under a large tent just to the north side of the building.  They will be offering the following:

·        Dose one of the two doses Pfizer Vaccine

·        Dose one of the two doses Moderna Vaccine

·        The one dose Johnson & Johnson Vaccine

·        COVID Binax rapid antigen testing

On Wednesday, June 9, 2021, from 9:00am -4:30pm, the National Guard will be at both the Panther Junction location, AND the Terlingua Fire and EMS facility.  They will be offering the following (while supplies last) at both locations:

·        Dose one of the two doses Pfizer Vaccine

·        Dose one of the two doses Moderna Vaccine

·        The one dose Johnson & Johnson Vaccine

For anyone getting the first portion of the two-dose vaccines, Captain Crowder has committed the team to returning to provide the second doses on July 10-11, 2021.

The vaccine clinic is in coordination with Brewster County, and Terlingua Fire and EMS.

Basecamp Terlingua ‑‑ is looking for one or more full or part-time housekeepers. SHOT TIME LIQUORS ‑‑ The quieter part of the year is coming around.  Fewer guests at the hotels and local accommodations, not so many cars at the gas pumps, shorter wait for burritos at breakfast spots.  Time to take a breather and sit back for a half a minute and think about the last year.  What a doozie!  We think there is nothing more appropriate than a shot of Sotol in a reflective moment like this.  And we have Sotol.  Lots of it.  No shortage in the Sotol Department!  Hacienda is certainly the leader in the Sotol market, but there are some interesting Artisanal Sotols as well.  Let us show you our selection.

Mavericks' Ice House ‑‑ SUMMER HOURS!!!  Starting on 6/13 we switch to summer hours.  CLOSED Sundays and Mondays OPEN 5-11pm Tuesday-Saturday.  We will stay open later if the party is hoppin'!  HAPPY HOUR isn't changing.  6-7pm $1 off beer and $2 off drinks.
