THANK YOU to Mr. Ring, of Many Stones, in Terlingua/Study Butte Texas for hand picking my bouquet for our nuptials earlier this week!!! We stopped by literally on the way to be wed, by the very talented Jeff Haislip, & he went out of his way to help us. We tried to give him payment for his generosity but, he refused & simply said, "Have a great wedding". Thank you Terlingua!!! P.S. We went back the next day to purchase some of his unique cacti. I pray blessings over this community & that it will be prosperous while still remaining small & quiet & untamed. ~ Amber Fairman

Contact chamberofcommerce@gmail.com for
more information on position qualifications and job duties. A resume and brief
cover letter will be required as part of the final application process. This
position pays a minimum of $600 a month based on experience. Applicant must be
a full-time Big Bend resident with good organizational office and phone skills
as well as daily access to a computer and internet, own a smart phone, reliable
transportation, and have basic working skills with Facebook, Instagram,
Twitter, Microsoft Office software or commensurate software (i.e. Word, Excel,

ALL ENERGIES TIP of the week: Geothermal cooling and heating uses about one third as much electricity
as a traditional HVAC system. By tapping into the stable ground temperature
just 4 to 500 feet below the surface, you’re able to utilize a constant 72°F
temperature year-round. The temperature available below ground is approximately
equivalent to the average year round temperature in a given region. With a heat
pump and a pre-calculated amount of pipe, the payback period for a new system
is between 3 and 10 years. Given the extreme high summer temperatures and high
electrical rates in Far West Texas, that payback could be much sooner. If you
are interested in geothermal or need help making your solar system work better,
email casey@allenergies.net or call/text 432-242-1874

STAR IS A 3 YEAR OLD BLACK LAB mix who wants nothing more than to hang out around the house and enjoy a simple life with her people. Star is a quiet, house trained, stick-around girl who was a former ranch dog and as such, is a bit under-confident as she learns how to be a proper pet. She is embracing life indoors, takes treats very sweetly, is content to be left alone, and in many ways is as easy as they come! Star will happily live with cats and loves to hike. Star is being fostered in the Terlingua area and is days away from being fully vetted. For more information about Star, or another homeless pet in need of a home, email: heatherthemule@gmail.com
