Terlingua Rentals
We are proud that every person working full time for our organization(s) is paid a living wage or more. The current federal minimum wage is $7.25 and a living wage is $15 an hour. We are also proud to support the National Domestic Workers Alliance and their efforts to assure dignity and fairness for millions of domestic workers in America. We applaud organizations like Airbnb who also support efforts to provide fair compensation for cleaning staff. Bravo. Every member of our team is critical to our success and we have assembled an extraordinary group of men and women to help assure our guests have the best experience possible when visiting the Big Bend area. Peace out.

Terlingua’s Texas Independence Day Parade
Come celebrate the 182nd anniversary of Texas Independence from Mexico with the annual impromptu parade between the Porch and the High Sierra celebrating the sacrifices of those who won our freedom that has been so easily forgotten by native Texans and unknown by the naturalized and visitors.
The parade is scheduled to begin around 5:30 P.M. (but is notoriously late) at the Porch. The route will leave for the High Sierra, then turn around back to the Porch.
Gathering for the parade will be at any time necessary for the preparation of your “float” to make the 5:30 start.
Please try to attend with a float or just as a spectator. Hope to see you there!

That’s a good problem to have and many hands make lighter work. This Thursday we’re ready to rock and roll into the park. Meet us at the Terlingua Recycling Center behind the Terlingua EMS at 8 a.m. this Thursday, March 1. Ride into BBNP with one of the other volunteers or bring your own vehicle. We’re usually back between 12 and 1. If you have any questions or need more info call 830.739.6986 or send us a FB message. Let’s make this spring as green as it can be!

Meet Austin
Austin is a 3 year old collie who has a lovely personality. He is super friendly and quite easy on a leash. He loves pets and shows every indication of being house trained. Austin gets along with other dogs, matching their play style and being eminently agreeable. He’s kid-friendly, cat-tolerant and so easy on the eyes!
