 This Week at The Starlight; The Starlight would like to wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving and we hope that, whether you're traveling near or far, you have safe travels. We'd love for you to spend your Thanksgiving with us if you're around! We have a special Thanksgiving menu as well as our regular menu. Mesquite Smoked Turkey, Heavenly Ham, Green Chile Stuffin’, Mashed Sweet Potatoes, Classic Green Bean Casserole, Orange Cranberry Sauce, Grandma's Giblet Gravy and, for dessert, Pumpkin Cheesecake or Pecan Pie. St. James Episcopal Church will hold a Taize service at 5:30 pm on Sunday, November 26, at located at 510 N. 6th St at Ave A in Alpine. Taize is an ecumenical, inter-spiritual service of reconciliation. A simple soup supper will follow that is free and open to all.
Taize worship consists of meditative singing and periods of silence to reach a contemplative state. This month’s service will focus on readings and chants of gratitude and blessing. For more information, contact Pam Cook at 432-386-5988 or pscook.herenow@gmail.com.

 The Terlingua Bottoms Group of AA meets every Thursday at 7:30 at the Big Bend Church in Study Butte.  The meetings are open to anyone who has or thinks they may have a drinking problem.

 Copper Love's art work, after a successful run at the Starlight Theater (thank you Lisa and Staff) has moved next door to the Earth and Fire Gallery. Copper is co-guest artist with Lanetta & her jewelry & hat bands.  Copper's original oil paintings will hang from November 18th – Dec. 9th, 9am-6pm daily. Last chance to see or acquire her work in the Big Bend area, with a "closing party" on Sat., December 9th, 4:00-dark:30.   Join us for prickly pear punch and refreshments...and a fond goodbye to our dear friend, Copper.

 WANTED!!! Volunteers to help with the next recycling run into BBNP. Thursday, November 30 at 8 o'clock sharp. Please join us at the Terlingua Recycling Center behind the Terlingua EMS station. Ride with one of the other volunteers or drive your own vehicle. Typically, we're back to town by Noon or so.  Kalypso is a 2.5-year-old female Great Dane who is looking for a several month foster, or if that cannot be found, a new permanent home. Kalypso is a wonderful, friendly gal who loves attention, fetch, and other dogs. She also has terrific house manners. Shorter-term fosters may be workable!
