We will have our monthly BBAC meeting on Sunday at 2pm.  Last month, we held it at the new Gallery location (121 W. Holland Ave) which seemed to work.  This will be our last formal meeting of this year....Artwalk preempts the November meeting and our December meeting is more of a Christmas party-nothing wrong with that!

Speaking of the Gallery, remember that our first BBAC show since moving to this new location will begin on October 30th.

A message from the Alpine Public Library:

We are soliciting donations for the library's annual Silent Auction during Art Walk, November 22 and 23. I hope you are able to donate to our auction again this year.

Donations may be taken to the auction location at the former Guzzi Up, 202 W.  Holland, on Wednesday afternoon, November 20, or anytime on Thursday or Friday. If you can’t make it to the auction site, please take your donation to the library. All donations should be accompanied by a donation form, available at the library’s circulation desk, from me or Mary Bennett (432-386-3796; mrossbennett@gmail.com), or at the Big Bend Gallery ( forms are there).

This is our major fundraiser each year, and we count heavily on the proceeds from it to allow us to continue to serve this community as well as we have since 1947. Our patrons span eight decades and an even wider expanse of interests. We receive only 35% of our funding from governmental sources; the remaining 65% comes from library sales, businesses, grants, fundraising events, and individuals—people like you.

Your support of our Silent Auction will help us continue to fulfill our mission of working to build community, encourage literacy, and promote lifelong learning.
