Earth and Fire Gallery
Our welcoming reception for our new Guest Artist, Milwaukee-based artist Mark Wojno will be Saturday the 18th at 6 pm.  Do stop by for food, drinks and possibly a fire!  Mark explores ideas and emotions of “stark beauty” through oil paintings of the Chihuahuan desert and industrial landscapes of Milwaukee and Chicago. Originally trained as a cultural anthropologist, this mostly self-taught artist has always been sensitive to visual elements of different cultures. Spending his time between Terlingua and Milwaukee, he depicts vast spaces and light punctuated by simple but dramatic built and natural forms, evoking a sense of solitude and silence. This pattern is especially evident in his representational landscapes of the Big Bend.

The dirtiest panels will only see a 3 percent improvement, in power output. However a large amount of bird droppings, may have a noticeable impact. People with ground mounted solar, may clean them for aesthetic reasons. If you need help making your solar system work better, email casey@allenergies.net or call/text 432-242-1874.

The proud Mexican tradition of corrido music—captured in the performances of Mexican band Los Tigres del Norte and the late Chalino Sanchez— provides both heartbeat and backbone to this rich examination of songs, drugs and dreams along the U.S./Mexico border. Friday           -- Dan Martin and Susan Herndon!!!!
Saturday       -- Hank Woji Trio (Hank, Susan Herndon & Mark Lewis)
Sunday         -- Ralph White
Monday        -- Laird & Friends

Dan Martin is a Tulsa singer-songwriter.  From his bio:  "Martin releases his debut album with philosophical honesty ascribed to the life he has experienced and the places he has seen.  "Alive don't mean winning," Martin states on the opening track "Hoka Hey," ... which gives the back-porch listener ambition to travel the frontier of spiritual and psychological growth."

Susan Herndon is a Tulsa singer-songwriter with eight records and a full touring schedule.  >From her bio:  "Music really is our universal language.  And I do believe that good songs -- in any language -- can truly touch souls.  I know they have saved my life on numerous occasions."  She touches upon themes both universal and deeply personal, from longing and loneliness, to home, family, faded memories and hopeful dreams.  Her releases have been termed 'blues,' 'country,' 'indie rock,' 'jazz' and 'pop,' even 'avant-garde.'"

From "Build Your House":

"Build your house on song
it carries you along
foundation sound
walls made of rock
You sing by the blue fireside of the hearth
 And roll on..."
