These are the certified Democratic Primary candidates for Precinct 2 County Commissioner – Calvin Glover, Dave Lambrix, and Sara Allen Colando. The incumbents are unopposed in the Democratic Primary for these races – County Clerk, County Judge, Justices of the Peace for Precinct 2 and 3 – Berta Rios-Martinez, Eleazar R. Cano, Susana M. Gonzales, and Jim Burr, respectively. Julie Morton is running unopposed in the Democratic Primary for County Treasurer. According to Mary Bell Lockhart. Mike Davidson has been declared ineligible to run for the office of Precinct 2 County Commissioner in 2018, because his voter registration address, on record for a number of years, was an address in Alpine in Commissioner Precinct 4. The voter registration record had not been updated to his address located in Precinct 2 before he filed to run for the office.

If you are hoping for that '80's Chevy, (2000s any make or model) with over 150K to "run like new," you might want to evaluate your expectations a little bit.

The River and the WALL
A team of diverse adventurers will embark on an epic 1,200-mile journey down the Rio Grande River and the U.S.-Mexico border to experience the vast landscapes of the borderlands region before construction of a wall. During the horse, mountain bike, and canoe powered journey, they will encounter personal stories from both sides of the border, examine immigration viewpoints across the political spectrum, and explore the impacts to wildlife, landowners, and all who call the borderlands home in the feature documentary THE RIVER AND THE WALL.
The horseback riding portion will be through the southern Trans Pecos mountain region that extends from Presidio, TX to the east side of Big Bend National Park (La Linda). The team is expected to make it to the Terlingua Ghostown onDecember 15th , riding up to the Starlight Theater/Porch at some point in the late afternoon (5 PM ish). Up to this point they will have been in the back country for a couple of weeks ready to see some happy and familiar faces. Come out to the Starlight for beer, laughs and shenanigans but most of all a good ole fun Terlingua night.
We hope to see all of yall on December 15th with a howdy in hand! If there are any changes with the dates and time we will update closer to the date.
Invite everyone and anyone and send off the team properly as they continue their journey the following day.
If you would like to know more about the journey itself click the website provided underneath and follow us on social media to get updates of the trip!
ADOPTABLE DOGGIE! Happy is… you guessed it… very happy. Happy is a young black lab mix who needs an active keeper to spend lots of time tiring him out and helping him learn that he can have it all, just not all at once. Happy has tons of energy, smarts and potential for someone looking to share an adventure-filled experience! For more information about any pet in the Alpine Shelter, email heatherthemule@gmail.com
