REALITY SHOW
A group of producers will be in town during April and want to highlight Terlingua in a new reality show. Individuals and businesses who do not wish to take part in this production must remember that the producers will need their permission to use their image. Without a written release the producers may not use your image or shoot on your property. There is one exception to this though, the producers can place a sign outside of businesses and property they have permission to be shooting in stating that "upon entering you are agreeing to have your image used". Before you sign or agree to anything, please consider whether or not a reality show is really the best way to promote yourself, Terlingua and the way of life that we hold dear.

Letter to the Editor:
Thanks to Brewster County Commissioner Pallanez for bringing up for review the widely criticized county policy on payment of medical insurance for county retirees adopted in July 2014. He provided data on present expenditures facilitating projections into the future. Discussion at Commissioners Court Tuesday (March 24) made clear that there are several portions of that policy which need much fuller examination and consideration than occurred on adoption last year.
The Commissioners Court voted to arrange a public workshop with participation by staff of the Texas Association of Counties, the results of which would likely guide any modifications of that policy. Reasonable provision of benefits for county employees is certainly essential in fairness and in support of retention. The question here is what is reasonable and what might it cost in the future to sustain? Open discussion to which this Commissioners Court seems committed should help arrive at good solutions.
LEARNING IS NOT A SPECTATOR SPORT.

Letter to the Editor:
Who is killing the Burros? In the last 3 weeks there have been four Burros shot and killed on Terlingua Ranch. They do no damage and don’t hurt anything. They are very docile and no way aggressive. I fail to see any sport in such action. Or is it someone who is just bloodthirsty and wants to kill a living creature?
