The Dude
THE DUDE is a young, fun, Jack Russell Terrier mix, with many typical JRT traits. Nine times out of ten, he is standing on top of his doghouse when you pass by, which says a lot about his personality. He’s not opposed to being scooped into your arms, but he will try to sit on your shoulder. He’s social with dogs and other people, loves to run around and keep an eye on everything and feels entitled to get involved wherever you are. THE DUDE is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all shots. He weighs 17 pounds and is full-grown. The Alpine Animal Shelter is open M-F from 10am to 6pm (closed 1-2pm) and by appointment on the weekends, located on the east side of Alpine on Old Marathon Road. All AAS animals are online at https://www.petfinder.com/pet-search?shelter_id=TX1202 For more info email heatherthemule@gmail.com.

Wise Words
Kindness begets kindness. It’s contagious. It multiplies exponentially when shared. It is free - and while you are paying it forward kindness is paying back dividends to you. With changed attitudes towards our fellow man, perhaps, just maybe, positive interactions become contagious and we can tip the balance. Although a simple concept, the trick is going to be in the spreading of the word. I challenge you, my friends, to be kind to one another, volunteer, smile to a stranger, lend a hand when and where you can. In short, be nice. Be kind. It is possible to change this world for the better, one act of kindness at a time. Kindness immediately makes changes for you and those around you. With the rush to the end of the year, the demands of our daily lives, and the heart-breaking news events we can forget the power of kindness to create joy, ease anxiety and depression, increase happiness and promote peace.” ~Lorelei Maria Freiler
