DIA DE LOS MUERTOS

Many thanks to all that helped to make this year’s Dia de los Muertos celebration in the cemetery such a success.  The number of people that participated and the reverence shown was overwhelming.  Everyone’s time, food, and talents were most appreciated.

Special thanks to Cynta and Bryn and others for organizing the post Day of the Dead locals memorial.  What a beautiful and appropriate tribute to those members of our community that have passed.  In their own way, each contributed to that extraordinary fiber that makes Terlingua so special.  May the Spirit of Terlingua and its sense of community live on forever.

SATURDAY COMMUNITY MARKET

Come see us at the Saturday Community Market from 10:00-1:00.  Located at the Community Garden in the Ghost Town, we're there every Saturday with happy vendors offering an array of locally produced goods and other items.

Fresh eggs, local art, handcrafted textiles, goat milk soap, all natural lip balms, hand balms, essential oil perfumes and sugar scrubs, leather goods, handcrafted, creative jewelry, block printed textiles and vintage goods, both curated and upcycled, practical and artistic items made of reclaimed steel and more -- you never know just what or who you'll find here. Indeed, lately, chess players have been meeting up for a game or two or three or....Sandy's back for the season to open her super cute pop-up shop on Saturdays and so is Valerie with her fine selection of culinary treats.

We welcome new vendors. Come set up down here in the shade to sell your wares. Flea market items are welcome. After all, reusing and up-cycling already existing items is smart and green. We ask a $10 donation to the Community Garden to set up, helping us to continue to improve this space and experience for all of us. For more information, text or call 432.213.1863, email SherriTheWriter@aol.com or pop in to the market for a chat. Prepared food vendors must display current food handling license. (A quick, easy and affordable online course can provide that).
Please help keep our market space safe and comfortable for all, two-legged and four, by keeping all dogs leashed and under control. We look forward to seeing you there.
