Covid-19 vaccine information:

Brewster County, in conjunction with local medical personnel, has a plan in place to provide COVID-19 vaccinations to anyone who is not able to travel, to receive the vaccine. If you reside in Brewster County, wish to receive the vaccine, and are home bound for any reason, contact the Sheriff’s Office, and a Deputy, along with a medical professional, will arrange to come to you, for vaccinations.

Prescription Shop still has plenty of vaccines FREE OF CHARGE! Starting Monday March 15th, we will be vaccinating anyone 50 years of age and older or if you are 18 and older with a chronic medical condition. Please call Prescription Shop to schedule 432-837-3498!

Check your plant’s vitals: Desert landscape question of the week: "Is this plant alive or dead?" Well with some things we just don't know yet and have to wait and see. If it is native it is likely fine. The less cold hardy varieties are the ones to watch. The oleander, bougainvillea, mexican petunia, palms and eucalyptus, just to name a few. Oh the eucalyptus! I have been watching all over town leaves turn from green to crispy grey. The freeze in 2011 killed every single one above ground. The trunks you see today are the ones that grew back from the roots as most of them did. THIS freeze was not as bad as that one, but we have extra chainsaw chains just in case.
