Boil Water Rescind Notice
On May 18, 2017 the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) required our public water system Study Butte Water Supply Corporation, PWS ID #0220035 to issue a Boil Water Notice (BWN) to inform our customers that due to the presence of contaminants or an interruption in service, water from our system must be boiled prior to consumption. Our system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling as of May 30, 2017. If you have questions, contact Jason Blanton, SBWSC at (432) 517-5000. If a customer wishes to reach TCEQ, they may call 512-239-4691.

Just look at this gray-faced little guy! Knox is a total sweetheart who was picked up as a stray but was certainly an owned dog. Sadly, he has been at the shelter for 10 days already and no one has come to claim him. Knox is 7 or more years old but seems fit as a fiddle. He can’t wait to head home with someone who will include him in lots of fun and then spend the evenings relaxing together. For more information about Knox or any pet at the Alpine Shelter (there are so many really great ones right now!) please email heatherthemule@gmail.com
