Water CONSERVATION IS CRITICAL!
Please let anyone you know with rentals that conservation notices to their guests is advised. We CanNot sustain the level of use that has been ongoing during these crises without the potential for system wide loss of service.
ANY way we as individuals, and water system members, can lower usage right now is important.

CYNTHIA HOOD MEMORIAL
Kindred spirit to all and devoted mother to her beautiful daughter Luna, Cynthia Hood passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 17. While her sudden loss is devastating, her imprint has permanently and eloquently shaped the Terlingua community. Cynthia embraced strangers as family and made everyone feel special. She was a gifted teacher of dance, yoga, and life. She loved sharing her profound spiritual connection to the desert landscape. Her comforting presence and strength moved those around her to be authentic, mindful, and live in the moment. A memorial will be held in Cynthia’s honor on June 3rd at the Starlight Theater. Please bring a dish to share and join in fellowship to celebrate from noon until 3PM.

Last post from his sister: On May 18, 2017, Douglas Paul Blackmon, Terlingua's legendary "Dr. Doug," lost his battle for life.
Born January 20, 1954, the 8th child of John and Eulalia Blackmon, Doug learned early, the tricks for survival and in his 20's he traveled to Terlingua and became a survivalist and there he stayed.
Arrangements are underway to return our beloved brother to his adopted home of Terlingua, Texas, where he will be interred.
A celebration of his life will be announced. For the good times, see drdougs.com
(Funds have been used to assist the family so that they could be there for him. Remaining funds will go towards his funeral arrangements.)

There is space for maybe 2 more water catchment tanks to fill the load.
Call us to reserve yours.  (432) 371-2506 or (512) 924-2806 or  email  elcentro432@gmail.com
