County Commissioners Court Meets Tomorrow
A regular meeting of the Brewster County Commissioners Court is scheduled for Wednesday, July 22 at 9:30 am, Brewster County Courthouse, Commissioners Courtroom, 201 W. Ave. E in Alpine.
The governor has suspended various provisions that require government officials and members of the public to be physically present; as a result, all or some government officials may participate via Zoom. Members of the public may watch the meeting live online at www.brewstercountytx.comor Brewster County’s Facebook page. You are encouraged to participate in public comment by calling 432-538-2028. Comments are limited to five minutes per person.

Terlingua Bottoms Group
The Terlingua Bottoms Group of AA meets every Thursday at 7:30 at the Big Bend Church in Study Butte. The meetings are open to anyone who has or thinks they may have a drinking problem. Big Bend Citizens Alliance Meeting
The Big Bend Citizens Alliance will hold a regular meeting on Thursday, July 30 at 6pm via Zoom. We are a public charity supporting the Terlingua Community Garden, Canyon View Community Park, Terlingua Recycles, Voices from Both Sides, Terlingua Visual Arts, Terlingua Dark Sky Alliance, Terlingua Cares, and Big Bend Covid-19 Pandemic Relief Fund. South County Census Update
As of July 19: Our National response rate is: 62.2%;  Texas is: 57.1%; and South County is: 22.6%. By now you should have received your 2020 Census questionnaire. Please respond with your Census ID#: online at my2020census.gov, or by phone. At the next Food Bank distribution on July 24, you will be able to respond online, and there will be assistance if needed. If you respond you will be entered into a drawing to win prizes! Remember: an accurate census count will ensure funds for medical, food assistance, education and more. Everyone Counts!
