The Terlingua 4TH OF JULY PARADE with festivities to follow at the Terlingua Fire and EMS station are on!  Join in on the parade with a decorated float, on a horse, ATV, motorcycle or bike  for a chance to win a cash prize.  If you would like to view the parade and be a judge of the best participating vessels, email chamberofcommercebigbend@gmail.com for more info.  Parade line up is at @ 6pm across from the Cottonwood and parade starts at 6:30pm.  Hot dog dinner and family friendly activities to follow at the Fire and  EMS Station.  We are honored to have Catfish as this year’s Grand Marshall.

CANYON BREW AT FAR FLUNG OUTDOOR CENTER.  It’s heating up around here!  Try our cold brew or just your favorite drink iced.  Also try kolaches, toasted bagels, espresso, candy bar lattes, cappuccino, macchiato, and chai.  Don’t forget – bring your own mug and save a buck!  Opens at 7 a.m. daily with quick service!

TAQUERIA EL MILAGRO.  Our Taqueria and its employees will be taking a Summer break from Monday, July 8th through Friday, August 30th.  I’m so sorry for the inconvenience and we will have a better, cooler, dark sky approved lighting Taqueria, filled with happy friendly folks.

THE BIG BEND CITIZENS' ALLIANCE will hold a regular meeting on Thursday, July 18th at the Red Pattillo Community Center in Study Butte (behind the Post Office). Meet and greet at 5:30 PM, and our meeting will begin at 6PM. We are a public charity supporting the Terlingua Community Garden, Kids Klub, Terlingua Recycles, Voices from Both Sides, Terlingua Visual Arts, Ghost Town Charities, Terlingua Dark Sky Alliance, and TerlinguaCares. THE FARMERS’ MARKET is the coolest place to be!  Please join us every Saturday from 10AM - 1PM at the Terlingua Community Garden in the Ghost Town.  A great place to buy and sell local produce, fresh eggs, art, handicrafts, and baked goods!  We're also looking for musicians to play during the market.  For more info, please call or text 432-244-7656.

THE TERLINGUA BOTTOMS GROUP OF AA meets every Thursday at 7:30 at the Big Bend Church in Study Butte.  The meetings are open to anyone who has or thinks they may have a drinking problem.

has a new coat of lovely green paint. Can't wait to get the rest of the

MAMMOS ON THE MOVE, a mobile mammogram screening, will be in Terlingua July 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the corner of Hwy 118 and FM 170.  See attached flyers.

MEET Mack is at the Holland Hotel is looking for someone wonderful to give him his best years yet! Mack is 7 years old, 95 pounds, house trained, quiet, very friendly, and thrilled by children. He sleeps nicely on his dog bed and loves his job duties welcoming guests. He walks beautifully on a leash, always eats his supper, and with great food, air conditioning, and an audience cheering him on, you might find him playing fetch in the lobby! Mack gets along with other dogs and has a great lean. Mack is neutered, fully vaccinated and will be a fantastic companion.
