ONION CREEK PRODUCTIONS will be producing a feature film in the area during the last two weeks of June and the first week of July and are seeking locals for crew and cast positions. The crew positions being sought are for a PA, Hair & Makeup, Wardrobe and a Driver with an RV. These will be paid positions. MAY COMMUNITY TAIZE SERVICE focuses on experiencing the divine through nature. Taize, an ecumenical, inter-spiritual service of reconciliation will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 26, at St. James Episcopal Church located at 510 N. 6th St at Ave A in Alpine. A soup, salad and bread supper will follow that is free and open to all. Taize worship consists of meditative singing and periods of silence in order to reach a contemplative state. This month’s universal reconciliation service will focus on readings and chants based on the theme of Experiencing the Divine through Nature. For more information, contact pscook.herenow@gmail.com.

In ALPINE: The Board of Directors for the BIG BEND REGIONAL HOSPIAL DISTRICT will meet
in Regular Session on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 5:30pm at the Hospital District at 105 W. Holland, in Alpine.
Note:  Action G is to Convene into Executive Session pursuant to Sections of the Government Code to confer with legal counsel and to receive legal advice regarding the following matters:

District grant policies and the approval/distribution of District funds for new health care related initiatives and programs to serve the residents of the District, including potential health clinic in South Brewster County.

The BREWSTER COUNTY COURTHOUSE will be closed Monday, May 27, in observance of Memorial Day.
