In response to last week’s Only in Terlingua segment, we have a segment this week called, Over Heard on Tha Porch. A new verb was created on the porch, August 14, 2018:
***
ranched:
/ran(t)SHt/
verb
past tense: ranched; past participle: ranched
1.         Pastime of drinking ranch water on the Porch in Terlingua, Texas. “We’re getting ranched on the porch.” Alternatively, ranching. “Hey what are you doing there on the porch?” “We’re ranching.”
2.         To have run a ranch.

Nacho is a three year old husky/border collie/shepherd mix who is a nice medium size. He has nice manners, seems friendly with all other dogs, and is at the front of his kennel to meet people, including kids. He walks well on a leash and is an easy going guy who wants to be your best friend with lots of spoilage! If you want more information about Nacho or any other pet in the Alpine shelter, email admin@alpinehumanespciety.org
