Terlingua Recycles Thanks to everyone for your efforts in helping to keep Terlingua GREEN. The recycling center behind the Terlingua EMS is seeing more and more use and that’s a good thing. Help us out if you will be cleaning out your aluminum, tin, milk cartons, etc. before placing them in the bins. Crush cans and plastic containers as best you can to make more room. Remember we’re all volunteers on the recycling front and more help is always appreciated. For more info all 830.739.6986 or send a FB message to Terlingua Recycles.

Admission:  Adults $10,  Back Room Facebook Group Members $7,  Ages 8-14 $5,  7 and under free.  Alpine Animal Shelter. Dually is a 2-1/2 yr old Lab/Pit mix. He is very engaging and people-centered, and he’s a champ at playing with other dogs, too. Dually loves playgroup, knows a load of commands (like shake and sit), always comes running when called, and really appreciates a good petting session. There are always great animals at the Alpine Animal Shelter. If you want more info about Dually, or any animal in the Alpine shelter, email heatherthemule@gmail.com
Brewster County has accepted a $500,000 donation from Trans-Pecos Pipeline, LLC for First Responder Initiatives. The funds are earmarked to purchase emergency response vehicles, equipment and cameras, and to finish the build out of the Alpine Volunteer Fire Department.
The new emergency response vehicles will be outfitted to serve as first response mobile units. New equipment will primarily consist of firefighter gear and apparatus specifically needed to safely secure hazards or fight fires. Additionally, the donation from the Trans-Pecos Pipeline will be used to purchase and install security cameras along the pipeline corridor to enable our Sheriff’s Office to monitor pipeline activity locally 24/7. This is in addition to the pipeline’s 24/7 remote monitoring and safety systems.
For more information, contact Judge Eleazar Cano at 432.837.2412 or email eleazar.cano@co.brewster.tx.us, or write P.O. Box 1630, Alpine, Texas, 79831. You can also find more information on the Brewster County website.
