Terlingua Recycles! Thanks to everyone who recycles their tin, aluminum, plastic, and cardboard and those who help keep Terlingua “GREEN” in other ways. The recycling center is located just behind the Terlingua EMS and bins are clearly marked as to what can be accepted. Please be sure to rinse your items before placing them in the bins – makes it a lot easier for the volunteers when they take the month’s recycling into BBNP’s recycling center for sorting. Remember – we can’t yet take glass, can never take Styrofoam and we can’t accept the plastic bags in which you might bring your recycling items. A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to this month’s helping hands – Jim & Barbara Hines, Alice & Dick Wildermuth, Dan Sholly, Todd & Jeff and, last but not least, Eduardo at the BBNP Recycling Center.

Join Marfa Live Arts on Thursday, April 6th for a free screening of Sad Vacation: The Last Days of Sid and Nancy— an up close and personal account of the tumultuous and stormy relationship between Sid Vicious and Nancy Spungen and how it ended in Room 100 of the Chelsea Hotel. This 2016 documentary directed by Danny Garcia features actor Ned Van Zandt, who knew the infamous duo and contributed to the storyline of their lives. Van Zandt will be on-hand to introduce the film.
Garcia's documentary features rare footage, including interviews with friends who were with the couple shortly before the mysterious death. Garcia investigates the eccentricities of the tryst between Vicious, the punk-rock king, and Spungen, the notorious glam-punk heroin junkie. SAD VACATION has adult themes and language, mature audience recommended. It will show at 8pm in the Adobe Room at The Lumberyard, 201 E. Dallas. For more information www.marfalivearts.org
