MOOOON XTRA!!!!!!!!!

Not in Our Big Bend
As of 9:00am, Wednesday, September 2, 2015, we have a total of 132 impactful, substantive comments that have been filed in the Environmental Assessment (EA) Scoping Comment period for FERC Docket CP15-500, the proposed Presidio Crossing Project, associated with the proposed Trans-Pecos Pipeline.

In total, there are now 450 comments filed on the docket, including those submitted in the initial public comment period, and those submitted during the EA Scoping period.

We know there are more coming, based on the “in-flight” strategy.

For those of you, especially if you are a Big Bend Conservation Alliance member, who have not yet commented, the deadline is Friday, September 4, 2015 at 4:00pm Central Time. We encourage you to submit your comment ahead of this deadline, as the FERC Online system can get busy and behave unpredictably near a deadline.

In this EA Scoping comment period, FERC is addressing environmental inputs (species-specific concerns, threatened & endangered species, protected species, including plants, mammals, birds, reptiles, insects, soil disturbance, habitat fragmentation, etc.), cultural and historical impacts (archeological sites, historical sites, culturally significant sites), and socioeconomic issues (threats to tourism, ranching economy, disparate impacts on population, etc.).
