BIG BEND CITIZENS’ ALLIANCE
The Big Bend Citizens' Alliance will hold a regular meeting on THURSDAY, APRIL 5TH at the Red Pattillo Community Center in Study Butte (behind the Post Office). Meet and greet at 5:30 PM, and our meeting will begin at 6PM. We are a public charity supporting the Terlingua Community Garden, Kids Klub, Terlingua Recycles, Voices from Both Sides, Terlingua Visual Arts, and Ghost Town Charities. TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE 
Will be at the Alpine American Legion on 2 pm on 9 April. Anyone interested in a career with Parks and Wildlife can talk to a Ranger recruiter at the Legion.

BIG BEND NATIONALPARK
As of 3/38/18 - Due to unexpected circumstances, the recycle center will be closed until further notice. 

TERLINGUA RECYCLES! 
The trailer/ recycling bins are closed until Thursday afternoon. Please do not add to the already overflowing situation. If you'd like to help, we will be taking the trailer to the recycling center Thursday at 8 a.m. Meet at the Terlingua Recycling Center behind the Terlingua EMS station.

ALPINE RECYCLING
Sadly, the Hal Flanders Recycling Center has experienced a lot of illegal dumping lately. As we are short-staffed we cannot keep up with the messes being made. Stay tuned to this page for updated hours. As of today, March 28, 2018, the recycling center will be open daily Monday through Friday 9 am to 5 pm. We will be closed Saturdays except during the 3rd Saturday Loader Days. If interested in volunteering on Saturdays, please call 837-3281.

Earth and Fire Gallery
New Artist in town...Deb Taylor is a full-time resident of Terlingua and will be our guest artist for the month of April. She is a Fiber Artist and slow-stitcher with Eco Dyed Textiles. She gathers desert botanicals, layers and bundles them into natural fabrics, soaks and solar dyes them into beautiful pieces of fabric. Her artworks include small weavings, wall hangings, t-shirts, fabric books  and random objects of desire. Please join us for her Opening Reception April 7th ~ 6:30 PM with snacks and free wine ~SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL ARTISTS~


IN MEMORY OF RUTH JANSYN
Thanks to the volunteers who helped raise money from the sale of Ruth Jansyn's photographs yesterday: Jai McDonald, Mindy Hamlett, Judy Brinkerhoff, Lauren Stedman, and George Womack. Also thanks to the patrons who came to remember Ruth and purchase her work. Proceeds from the sale will go to benefit the Terlingua School dance group and visual art projects.

The Starlight Theatre will host a photography and art exhibit and opening featuring new works by Pat O'Bryan.  The opening is April 3, 2018, from 5 PM until the bar closes.

We are working diligently to getting the well back up to full operation. In the interim we have initiated some water management steps so we can continue to service our ranch owners. We are issuing water management cards to everyone who comes to the office to buy water. Each household is allowed 300 gallons per week. We are limiting sales to 1700 gallons per day. First come first serve.
